The Moat · Appeal-Layer Benchmarking
Who wins before the trade courts.
Cross-firm win rates at the appeal layer (CIT / CAFC). The record no internal tool or free source can assemble — “who do we hire, and who are we up against?”
Win rate = wins ÷ (wins + losses), reported separately for each side a firm argued — challenger and defender are different games and are never blended. A partial (mixed remand, shown “·Np”) is counted separately and never as a win. Side-unknown appearances are representation only.
Assembling the ledger…
Definition finalized per methodology (three-way win / partial / loss, split by side). Dispositions are opinion-signal based; full-mandate parsing, firm entity-resolution, and broader breadth are the next refinements.
